Grilled Fish
The theme of Turkish food blogger event this month was fish. If you ask me, it was an excellent choice. We used to have at least one meal with fish per week.

Last couple of months, however, I just could not find time to prepare a fish meal, except opening a tuna can. Tuna is good in pastas, salads, or sandwiches. I am not complaining, but if you like fish like me, canned tuna is never enough.
So Bezen's choice gave me the reason to break my laziness, and cook some delicious fish dishes.
I prepared three dishes using two different types of fish, sea bass and tilapia. I will start with the easiest among three dishes, and the others will come soon.
As it can be understood by the title, the easiest method was grilling. Sea bass was good for this method.
Before cooking the fish, I marinated with the same method I always use.
Ingredients:
1 medium size sea bass
2 potatoes (medium)
2 onions (medium)
olive oil
salt
spices
For marinating:
water
vinegar (or lemmon juice)
salt
1. Wash and marinate the fish.
2. Preheat the oven to broil with the oven rack set about 5-6 inches from the broiler.
3. Slice the patatoes as if you are going to make french fries. (Here is a nice step by step explanation)
4. Put the slices to an oven proof dish and oil them.
5. Place the patatoes to the oven for 5 minutes.
6. Slice the onions horizontally. Cover the patatoes with onions.
7. Using a sharp knife, cut diagonal 1/4-inch deep slits on each side of the fish.
8. Brush inside and the outside of the fish with olive oil.
9. Put the fish on top of the onions. Sprinkle spices and salt.
10. Cook the fish in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the fish is close to done on one side
11. Flip the fish over. Keep it in the oven for 5-6 minutes.
12. Serve it with lemon wedges.
Hint: If you cover the dish with aluminum foil , it will be easier to clean up. I forgot it this time, and the cleaning was problematic.
