Diet Energy Drinks
There some energy drinks in stores for almost a year. I can understand the necessity of energy drinks, even though I cannot approve using them for most of the times.
Energy drinks increase the metabolism with caffeine, sugar, and some other ingredients for a short time. It is not recommended to consume them after egzersize, or drink more than one over some time period.
There are some studies about their effects on heart attacks, especially when people drink them a lot, or drink them just after exercise.(1, 2)
Last several years, diets became very popular, and people control the calori or carbohydrate they consumed. Also after the articles abour caffeine effects on health, they tend to avoid taking it.
This made the producers of energy drinks think about new products for people who are careful about caffeine and calories they are taking, and the result is diet energy drink or caffeine free energy drink.
I think most of the people who are drinking energy drinks forgot, or does not know that calorie is after all the unit of the energy only. Therefore no calorie means no energy, and so far nobody asked if a drink does not have any energy, how can it give energy to the body?
Same principle also can be applied to the caffeine. Energy drinks main ingredient is caffeine, and this ingredient gives the activity boost to the body. Therefore without caffeine, how the body can get that boost?
Why nobody is asking these questions?
